RouteSync

Travel together, even when everyone books separately

The RouteSync marketing site, headed “Travel together, without the spreadsheet,” over a night-side map with four live flights converging on LHR.

Group travel falls apart in a shared spreadsheet. RouteSync replaces it: create a trip, invite the people coming with you by link, and everyone sees one itinerary of flights, hotels and rental cars, while each traveler keeps their own booked, unbooked or cancelled status on every item. Nobody shares an account, and nobody has to ask who has actually paid for the Tuesday flight.

Bookings arrive by email rather than by typing. Every user gets their own address at routesync.app; forward a confirmation to it and a Cloudflare Email Worker hands it to the API, which parses the message (vendor-specific parsers first, a generic parser behind them, OCR as the last resort) and files the flight, hotel or car under the trip it belongs to. Multi-leg flights are grouped back into one itinerary.

A Manifest V3 browser extension closes the loop the other way. It opens the airline or hotel site, fills in the search form from the trip, highlights the matching result, then recognises the confirmation page and syncs the booking status back, currently across American, Delta, United, Southwest, Spirit, Alaska, JetBlue, Marriott, Hilton and Hertz. Behind it all sits an admin portal with a receipt-review queue and a visual parser tuner, because a parser that quietly guesses wrong is worse than one that asks.

What it does

  • One shared itinerary, with per-traveler booking status on every item
  • Forward a confirmation to your own @routesync.app address and it files itself
  • Vendor parsers, a generic fallback and OCR for the awkward receipts
  • Browser extension that auto-fills airline search forms and syncs status back
  • Real-time updates over Socket.IO, plus trip chat and shared notes
  • Admin portal: receipt-review queue, visual parser tuner, logs and exports
  • Public feature-request and Q&A board with magic-link sign-in
