RE:play

Less player, more play

RE:play playing a night-time city skyline video, with transport controls along the bottom of the window.

A native media player built to replace the bulky, overly featured music libraries that want to own your files. RE:play opens what you give it and plays it: audio and video, in every format the system can already decode.

It is written in SwiftUI on AVFoundation with zero third-party dependencies, which is why the whole download is about 3 MB and why it starts instantly.

What it does

  • Audio: MP3, AAC, M4A, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, ALAC
  • Video: MP4, M4V, MOV (H.264, H.265/HEVC, ProRes)
  • Shuffle, repeat, and variable playback speed
  • Full keyboard control
  • Native on both macOS and Windows
  • No third-party dependencies
